FR Née en 1954, Véronique Guerrieri est passée par l’école du Louvre et celle des Beaux-Arts (Architecture). Elle s’est tout d’abord orientée vers l’organisation d’expositions d’artistes internationaux tout en développant son œuvre de façon personnelle. Durant cette période elle se liera d’amitié avec Klasen, Rancillac, Morio Matsui, Pierre Restany et Jacques Lepage. C’est en 1994, après sa collaboration avec Arman à Beyrouth dans la réalisation de la plus grande sculpture au monde (32 mètres) et poussée par la profession, qu’elle enchaînera les expositions personnelles pour arriver en 2008 avec son travail de sculptures en résine sur le thème du « baby king », l’enfant unique. Après un succès à Shanghai où Guerrieri expose avec Morio Matsui, c’est à Paris, en France ainsi qu’aux Etats-Unis que Véronique va assoir sa notoriété articulant son œuvre autour d’un fantastique équilibre entre provocation et sensualité, paix et violence, force et fragilité.
EN Born in 1954, Véronique Guerrieri studied both in the Louvre Art school and in Beaux-Arts School (Architecture). She initially offered exposure to international artists while developing her own work via exhibitions. In the meantime, she befriended Klasen, Rancillac, Morio Matsui, Pierre Restany and Jacques Lepage. In 1994, after her cooperation with Arman in Beirut in the making of the greatest sculpture in the world (32 meters), she is encouraged by her peers to exhibit her own work. In 2008, she achieved her first resin sculptures on the theme of the “baby king”, the only child. After her success in Shanghai where Véronique exhibited with Morio Matsui, she achieved visibility in Paris, France, as well as in the United States of America focusing on her work: a superb balance between provocation and sensitivity, peace and violence, strength and fragility. |
